TERMS OF SERVICE

By commissioning our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. All commissions are governed by the version of these Terms in effect at the time of booking.

1. Inquiry & Qualification: Submit a detailed request through your preferred platform (VGen, Discord, or email). We gather project details including purpose, references, budget, and timeline.
2. Brief & Quote: We provide a detailed quote covering scope, complexity, licensing, timeline, and any applicable add-ons.
3. Booking & Deposit: Confirm your slot with payment (see Payment Policy). Your project is officially queued after payment confirmation.
4. Initial Visual Agreement (IVA): We create rough sketches with unlimited revisions until the visual direction is agreed upon. This approval locks in the art direction.
5. Production Milestones: Work progresses through stages: Clean Sketch, Lineart & Base Color, Render, Export & QA. Watermarked progress updates are shared at each stage.
6. Revision Windows: Revisions are available according to our structured window system (see Revision Policy).
7. Final Payment: For commissions of $150 or more, the remaining balance is due after sketch approval.
8. Delivery: Final high-resolution files are delivered after full payment, along with licensing documentation.
9. Aftercare: Minor assistance (resizing, format adjustments) is available within 7 days of delivery at no additional charge.

  Under $150 USD: Full payment upfront before work begins.

  $150 USD and above: 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due after sketch approval (Initial Visual Agreement).

  Full upfront payment is always accepted regardless of commission value.
• •
  Methods: PayPal, Bank Transfer, Wise. All prices are in USD.
• •
  Invoicing: Detailed invoices are provided for all payments.
• •
  Payment deadline: Payment must be completed within 7 days of invoice. Failure to pay within this period may result in your commission slot being released.
• •
  File delivery: Final files (without watermark) are delivered only after full payment is confirmed.
• •
  Admin/conversion fees: Borne by the client, if any.

We use a structured revision window system:

  Window A — Rough Sketch: Unlimited revisions. Major changes (pose, composition, concept) are allowed and encouraged at this stage. This is the best time for direction changes.

  Window B — Clean Sketch: Major revisions (within the scope of the approved rough sketch) and minor revisions are accepted.
• •
  Window C — Lineart / Base Color / Render: 3 free minor revisions included. Minor revisions include color adjustments, facial expression tweaks, accessory repositioning, and small additions.

  Window D — Polish: Minor adjustments only (cleanup, debanding, small fixes).

Additional Revisions

  Additional minor revisions (beyond the 3 included in Window C): $10 per revision.
• •
  Major changes after the Initial Visual Agreement (IVA) are handled as a Change Order — a formal scope change that requires written confirmation and includes adjusted cost and timeline.

Minor vs. Major

• •
  Minor: Color adjustments, expression tweaks, accessory positioning, small prop additions.
• •
  Major: Pose changes, composition restructure, outfit redesign, adding/removing characters.

• •
  Copyright: Chrientmip Studio retains copyright to all artwork. Clients purchase a usage license, not the copyright itself.
• •
  Personal Use: Included by default with every commission. Allows social media posting, avatars, personal printing, and non-commercial display. Attribution is required: "Art by Chrientmip @chrientmip."

Commercial Use

Requires an additional commercial license. Pricing is based on client tier:

Additional Licensing Options

  No-credit option (post without attribution): +25%

License terms: All licenses are perpetual, worldwide, and non-exclusive by default.

Restrictions

Commissioned artwork may not be used for AI/machine learning training, sold as NFTs, resold as-is, or re-licensed to third parties without written consent. Modification, misrepresentation of authorship, or use in harmful contexts is prohibited.

Source Files

PSD/CLIP source files can be purchased separately ($50–70). Source files remain Chrientmip's intellectual property and may not be deconstructed, redistributed, or claimed as the client's own work.

Portfolio Rights

Chrientmip reserves the right to display commissioned artwork in our portfolio, social media, and promotional materials. Clients may purchase a Privacy add-on (+15%) to opt out of portfolio display. A Private commission / NDA add-on is also available ($50).

  Before work begins: Full refund available.
• •
  After sketch approval (IVA): The deposit is non-refundable. Refunds are not available after the Initial Visual Agreement is approved.
• •
  Partial completion: If the studio cancels a commission, a proportional refund will be issued based on work completed.
• •
  Studio cancellation: A full refund will be issued if we are unable to fulfill the commission.
• •
  Dissatisfaction: We encourage use of the revision windows to address concerns. Refunds for dissatisfaction are considered only in exceptional circumstances and at the studio's discretion.

  Feedback timeline: Clients are expected to provide feedback within 72 hours of receiving progress updates.
• •
  Inactivity: If a client is unresponsive for 14 or more consecutive days without prior notice, the commission may be cancelled or rescheduled at the studio's discretion.
• •
  References: Clients should not submit copyrighted material without proper permission.
• •
  Accurate information: Clients are responsible for providing accurate project details at the briefing stage.

  Client personal information and commission details are kept confidential.
• •
  Private commissions (+15% Privacy add-on) will not be shared publicly.
• •
  NDA arrangements are available ($50) for projects requiring additional confidentiality.

In the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, severe illness, infrastructure failure, or other extraordinary events — production may be delayed. In such cases, we will offer either a rescheduled delivery or a proportional refund, determined on a case-by-case basis.

Chrientmip Studio's total liability arising from or related to any commission shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that commission. The studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

  These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
• •
  In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through amicable discussion.
• •
  If unresolved, disputes will proceed to mediation based on written evidence (brief, invoices, correspondence).
• •
  Disputes not resolved within 30 days of initial complaint may be submitted to arbitration under Indonesian law, with proceedings held in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia.

Project files are archived for 90 days after delivery. Extended storage may be available upon request. We recommend that clients save all delivered files promptly.

These Terms of Service are a living document. We may update them at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. The version in effect at the time of your commission booking governs that engagement.
